Introduction

CONSULGAL, through its specialized and experienced technical staff has developed centers of know-how, covering a wide range of fields of expertise that have carried out works, such as technical-economical studies, transportation and environmental systems operation studies, engineering and architectural design, project management and construction works supervision, etc.

Among many others, the following are deemed laudable of the company’s capability: Oporto Light Metro System, Orient Intermodal Station in Lisbon, Oporto Airport, Railway High Speed Line, Estoril Coast Sewage System, Meia Serra Incineration Plant in Madeira Island, Amadora-Sintra Central Hospital or Picote and Baixo Sabor Dams.

One of the most praised projects in which CONSULGAL had been involved was the Expansion and Modernization of Madeira International Airport, as a leader of a consortium for the Project Management and Construction Works Supervision Project, which was announced as the winner of 3 important prizes, including the 2004 Engineering World Award for quality, innovation and excellence.
